The street's favourable waterside location, combined with the orientation of the plot, made it possible to meet the specific request to provide all the bedrooms and public areas with a sea view. The main volume of the house is placed close to the shore, making space for a private south-facing front yard at street level, closed off by a sculptural wall lined with a water mirror on the inside.
The sea can be enjoyed from the inner courtyard through all public areas at the upper level of the main volume. All private areas are at sea level and benefit from unobstructed views of the black sand beach. Light is carefully conveyed into the circulation area through openings in the upper level and enhanced by a reflecting water mirror that runs along the lower level. The detached circular volume accommodates the study, which also enjoys a view to the sea.
